About
Storytelling, strategy and craft, all in the same room.
Shankul Lohakare is a creative director specializing in short-form content strategy, with a knack for turning ideas into fully-realized productions, from concept to final cut. With 5+ years of experience and 50+ projects delivered, she's worked across commercial, narrative, music video and social content formats, collaborating with brands like Beta Squad, American Express, Priceline and Diesel, and artists including Quavo and Slayyyter.
She built her craft on professional sets in Los Angeles and on campus at Duke University, where she studies Chemistry and Visual Media Studies, with a study away at USC's Creative Industries Program. Whether she's operating a RED Cinema Camera, directing a crew, or editing on the couch, she brings the same eye for story to every frame.
Her short-form content has surpassed 50 million views, and her production work spans everything from a 20,000-person live concert to spec campaigns for global brands, and her photography of Quavo and Slayyyter has been featured in Forbes. She's equally comfortable leading a team of creatives as she is getting hands-on with a shot list, shaping the vision and executing it.
Shankul is currently seeking opportunities in creative direction, video production, and post-production, where storytelling, strategy, and craft all live in the same room.
