The single source of truth for the Shankul Lohakare brand: how it looks, sounds and moves, from a pitch deck to a reel cover. Pulled from the site; built to outlast it.

When in doubt: jet ground, white type, one orchid marker, and receipts over adjectives.

03 · THE BRAND
SHANKUL LOHAKARE
Storytelling, craft and ambition in the same room.

Shankul Lohakare is a director and short-form strategist making cinema-grade content engineered for attention: social campaigns, commercials, and music videos. She built her craft on professional sets in Los Angeles and at Duke University, where she studies Chemistry and Visual Media Studies, operating RED cinema cameras, directing crews and cutting in the edit bay.

The brand is the person: one creative who owns the chain from concept to final cut, and proves the work in public: 50 million views, a 20,000-person concert, event coverage that reached Forbes.

THE TAGLINE
From concept
to the final cut.

Social campaigns, commercials, and music videos that people actually watch, for brands, artists and institutions that want work made to be replayed.

PILLAR 01
Every seat on set

Direction, production, camera, edit. One creative owns the whole chain, so nothing gets lost in a handoff.

PILLAR 02
Entertainment first

Every piece earns the watch and pays the viewer off. That's what buys the follow, and the brand message rides along.

PILLAR 03
Proven in public

Formats are tested on @plohakare's 50M-view lab before they ship for a client. Receipts over promises.

01
Sentence case, always
Headlines read like speech, not signage. Caps belong to display type and labels only.
"Stills that hit like frames"
"Stills That Hit Like Frames"
02
No em dashes, ever
Setup and payoff split with a period, a comma or a colon. The dash is banned across captions, decks and DMs.
"Content people actually watch. 50 million views deep."
"Content people actually watch -- 50 million views deep."
03
Middots join meta
Roles, brands and credits chain with " · ", never slashes, never pipes.
"American Express · Burberry · Quavo"
04
Numbers are receipts
Rounded down, unit attached, verifiable. The plus sign means "still counting", never inflation.
"50M+ views" · "20K live" · "5+ years"
05
One creative, first person
"I", never "we". Speak to the client directly; offer the next step in the same breath.
"Tell me what you're making. I'll bring the plan."

Stills that hit like frames
01 · INSIDE THE MOMENT

Shot from the pit, the aisle, the huddle, never from the back wall.

02 · LIGHT AS FOUND

Stage wash, neon, daylight. Amplify what's there; never repaint it.

03 · SCALE IS THE STORY

20,000 people is a fact you can frame. Keep the crowd; keep the room.

Treatment: true blacks that sit on Jet, stage color kept honest, skin protected. No heavy LUTs on stills; crop for motion, not symmetry.

SHANKUL LOHAKARE
01 · CONFIDENT, CONCRETE

Receipts over adjectives: numbers, names, outcomes. If a claim can't be verified, cut it.

02 · ENTERTAIN FIRST

Copy works like the reels: a hook, then a payoff. Every headline promises something the next line delivers.

03 · WARM, NEVER SALESY

A person, not an agency. Direct address, plain verbs, an invitation instead of a CTA.

16 · DO & DON'T
SHANKUL LOHAKARE
Do
01
Lead with the work: footage and stills first, chrome second.
02
Keep the grid visible: flush left, strong rules, square corners.
03
One Orchid marker per composition: a square, a plus, one stat.
04
Write receipts: numbers, names, outcomes, first person.
05
Test the format on @plohakare before it ships for a client.
Don't
01
No gradients, glows, bevels or drop shadows. The brand is flat.
02
Don't center display copy. Headlines start at the left edge.
03
Don't set Orchid body text on White. Graphics and large type only.
04
Don't round a corner anywhere. Radius is zero on purpose.
05
Don't inflate: no "1M+" that's really 800K, no borrowed credits.
